Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

jmp.fm is a URL shortener and analytics product operated by the jmp.fm team. If you have privacy questions, contact us at privacy@jmp.fm .

2. What data we collect

Waitlist sign-up: When you join the waitlist, we collect:

  • Your email address
  • The timestamp of sign-up
  • Your approximate country (derived from your IP address via Cloudflare — we do not store your raw IP)
  • Referral code and UTM campaign parameters if present in the URL

Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-preserving, uses no cookies, and does not track individuals across sites. We receive aggregate page-view data only.

3. How we use your data

We use your email address solely to:

  • Send you one email when jmp.fm launches publicly
  • Optionally send a one-time confirmation email at sign-up

We do not use your email for newsletters, marketing sequences, or third-party advertising. We do not sell or share your data.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

For users in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your email is legitimate interest (to communicate about the service you signed up for) and your consent given at sign-up. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@jmp.fm .

5. Data storage and retention

Waitlist data is stored in Cloudflare KV, hosted in the European Union or US regions (depending on your proximity). We retain waitlist data until launch, after which it is either used to notify you or deleted if you have unsubscribed.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@jmp.fm . We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

This site does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. We do not show a cookie banner because we have nothing to consent to.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and — if we have your email — notify you before the changes take effect.
